Today I was running on the beach. I needed something new, so I went into the Atlantic Ocean a few feet. The first time I've been dumb enough to do that in February.
That was new. And cold.
It's amazing how different the climate in one state can be in winter. Miami a few weeks ago was like being in the Bahamas, and Jacksonville right now is in the high thirties.

- At the beginning of my 29th year I said to myself: "Self, I need to wrap up my twenties in a memorable way." Upon the suggestion of Professor A.A. Marsh, I decided to do one new thing each day for one year, from the day of my 29th birthday to my 30th birthday. I will record each new thing on this blog. I've got some ideas but I'll need a lot more; 365 days means a lot of novel experiences to come up with. If you read this, and you can think of a new thing I can do, please let me know. With your help, the last lap of my twenties will be the best one.
